CPR on New Business Winning Streak

CPR Worldwide, which specializes in creating global public relations programs for healthcare companies, has added business from some of the leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

NEW YORK, July 5—CPR Worldwide, which specializes in creating global public relations programs for healthcare companies, has added business from some of the leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide including Pharmacia, Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline and Boehringer Ingelheim.
 
According to Nancy Caravetta, president of the firm’s U.S. operations, CPR has  won 17 consecutive competitive new business pitches since the beginning in March of 1999, many of them against major agencies. The firm, which is a subsidiary of Fleishman-Hillard, has also increased its staff from six members to 15 and increased fee billings by more than 200 percent, staying on target to break the $2 million mark by year’s end.
 
CPR’s wins represent a wide range of pharmaceutical companies in a variety of therapeutic areas, including: oncology (Eli Lilly’s oncology portfolio); stroke (Boehringer Ingelheim/Aggrenox) arthritis (Boehringer Ingelheim/MOBIC); consumer health (GlaxoSmithKline/Vivarin); cardiovascular and orthopedics (Pharmacia/FRAGMIN); and multiple sclerosis (Serono/Rebif).
