CRT/tanaka Acquires Creative Firm, Forms Interactive Group

CRT/tanaka has formed CRT/tanaka Interactive, a national interactive and creative design practice the acquisition of Oliver Creative, a Virginia-based Web design and development firm.

RICHMOND, VA—CRT/tanaka has formed CRT/tanaka Interactive, a national interactive and creative design practice the acquisition of Oliver Creative, a Virginia-based Web design and development firm. The services of Oliver Creative will supplement the agency’s existing design, Web and new media capabilities.

“Increasingly, CRT/tanaka is developing integrated marketing communications programs for our clients, which combine traditional public relations tactics with Web design, viral and social marketing and other interactive capabilities,” says Mark Raper, CRT/tanaka chairman and CEO. “We have worked with dozens of interactive firms. Oliver Creative offers a superior product, and the perfect mix of creative talent and innovative thinking to add to our existing interactive and design capabilities.”

Kyra Oliver, president of Oliver Creative, will join CRT/tanaka as vice president and will oversee the CRT/tanaka Interactive practice. Al Davis, CRT/tanaka vice president-creative design, will continue to oversee the print design functions within the practice.
