CRT/tanaka Acquires Livingston Communications

CRT/tanaka has acquired Washington, D.C., area-based Livingston Communications, a specialist in social media communications. CEO Geoff Livingston, a prominent blogger and author, will join the firm as a senior vice president.

RICHMOND, VA—CRT/tanaka has acquired Washington, D.C., area-based Livingston Communications, a specialist in social media communications. CEO Geoff Livingston, a prominent blogger and author of the 2007 book Now is Gone: A Primer on New Media for Executives and Entrepreneurs, will join the firm as a senior vice president.

 

Livingston Communications has provided innovative social media solutions for a diverse group of clients, including the Consumer Electronics Show, General Dynamics, Goodwill Industries International, Save Darfur, Sull Erna (lead singer of rock band Godsmack), United Way and many others.

 

The acquisition is part of CRT/tanaka’s effort to further integrate social media into all client engagements. Says chief executive Mark Raper: “Technology and consumer communication trends are rapidly changing, so we are incorporating social media practices into all client communication programs to supplement traditional communication approaches.”
