RICHMOND, VA—Sands Anderson, a regional law firm, has tapped CRT/tanaka for social media marketing, training and support. The law firm is exploring how attorneys can best use popular online social networking channels, such as blogs and Twitter, to demonstrate expertise, enhance reputation and build professional relationships.

“Social media opens up a new set of relationship building channels in the landscape of law firm marketing, and it’s forcing a serious rethinking of long-time law firm marketing standards, such as Yellow Pages advertising and monthly newsletters,” says Russell Lawson, director of marketing for Sands Anderson. “Relationships and referrals are still primary drivers for business development and client growth, and CRT/tanaka will play a central role in helping our attorneys capitalize on social media’s daily opportunities to engage both clients and prospects.”

CRT/tanaka’s engagement with Sands Anderson includes development of attorney and practice area blogs, counsel and training for use of popular online communications tools, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, and development of custom tools that facilitate attorney involvement in the online conversation.
