SAN FRANCISCO—MSLGroup has appointed FleishmanHillard and Edelman veteran Curt Kundred as managing director for its Western region as well as global head of strategic partnerships and acquisitions. 

Kundred was previously president for the West Coast, East Coast and Canada for FleishmanHillard and president of the Western region for Edelman. For the past two years he was CEO of his own consulting firm, CAK Business Strategies.

In his new role, he will be based in San Francisco and lead MSL’s offices in San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles and will report to Ron Guirguis, US CEO. 
In his strategic partnerships and acquisitions role, he will play a key role in the firm’s growth plans, reporting to global CEO Guillaume Herbette. 

In addition to 11 years in executive leadership roles at FleishmanHillard and two years at Edelman, Kundred also previously was an executive vice president responsible for West Coast operations at Weber Shandwick and vice chairman and managing director of the technology practice at Burson-Marsteller.
