NEW YORK—Socializr, a free web service for sharing event and party information founded by social networking pioneer Jonathan Abrams, has selected DKC as its agency of record for public relations. Socializr will look to DKC to increase its profile in the consumer marketplace as well as obtain television exposure for Abrams, the founder of Friendster, as a key Internet expert.

Socializr, which opened to the public in March 2007, allows users to personalize their invitations with features such as music and video, while retaining its ease of use. The site was named “Best Emerging Social Networking Site” at the Web 2.0 Website Awards.

The company selected DKC for its media relations expertise and its experience promoting up-and-coming online platforms.
