SANTA BARBARA—Fast growing west coast PR firm Davies has joined forces with The Blaze Company, a Los Angeles creative boutique. Together, the firms will offer public affairs and public relations services for clients across the United States, as well as international clients targeting U.S. audiences.
Under the terms of the new alliance, the firms will tap each another’s complementary but noncompetitive services and expertise across a spectrum of industries. Davies and The Blaze Company will work together with clients who need the depth and resources of a larger strategic communications firm.
John Davies will continue to serve as the chief executive officer of Davies, and Marci Blaze will continue to serve as the chief executive officer of The Blaze Company. Brandon Edwards, principal and chief operating officer of Davies, will provide management support to the combined entity and will lead corporate strategy and business development.
“We’ve enjoyed solid growth the past five years,” says Davies. “We are excited to join forces with a creative public relations firm like The Blaze Company, which focuses on quality and results. Our goal is to continue adding depth and even greater national reach for our major practice areas.”
The Blaze Company will continue as the primary public relations brand for potential clients. Davies will continue as the primary brand to potential public affairs, corporate and crisis communication clients in real estate, healthcare, energy and natural resources, and other industries.
“This decision has been some time in the making, and it was made with an eye on combining resources,” said Marci Blaze, founder and chief executive officer of The Blaze Company. “I know that Davies shares our focus on quality and results. They developed the same type of outstanding reputation in grassroots public affairs that The Blaze Company has earned in creative public relations. This will be a great combination, and we will be able to generate powerful results for our clients.”
