SANTA BARBARA—Davies, a California-based communications firm, has opened a new office in the Los Angeles area. The new office will be run by Davies principal Brandon Edwards and will focus initially on the healthcare sector, building on its work with 20 Tenet-owned hospitals across the state, including 20 in southern California.

Agency chief executive John Davies says the time will “provide both existing and new clients with truly effective and measurable PR programs. For 20 years, we have serviced clients across California from our Santa Barbara home base. With the establishment of our new office, our public relations and marketing team will be closer to our Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego clients.”

Edwards will be joined by two healthcare professionals, Pete Senoff and Elaine Murphy.

Davies works in several categories, including healthcare, real estate, energy and natural resources, and non-profit organizations.
