Davis to Lead Corporate Affairs at MedImmune

Lisa Davis has joined biotechnology company MedImmune as vice president, corporate affairs, overseeing public relations, internal communications, government affairs, advocacy, community relations, and corporate responsibility.

GAITHERBURG, MD—Lisa Davis has joined biotechnology company MedImmune as vice president, corporate affairs, overseeing public relations, internal communications, government affairs, advocacy, community relations, and corporate responsibility. Davis was previously the vice president, corporate communications for AstraZeneca US.   

 

Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Davis spent nine years with Washington-based AARP in communications roles with increasing levels of responsibility, from overseeing media relations to serving as a senior advisor to the chief communications officer.  She also served as national deputy press secretary for the Clinton/Gore ’96 re-election campaign and as press secretary for the Democratic Leadership Council, and also served in communications roles at both the National and American Bar Associations, and on the staff of U.S. Rep. Alan Wheat (D-Mo).

 

MedImmune, the worldwide biologics business of pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, has approximately 3,300 employees worldwide.
