De Maria Joins NASDAQ OMX to Lead Communications

The NASDAQ OMX Group, parent company of exchanges in New York and the Nordic region, has named Frank De Maria senior vice president of global corporate communications.

NEW YORK—The NASDAQ OMX Group, parent company of exchanges in New York and the Nordic region, has named Frank De Maria senior vice president of global corporate communications. De Maria will lead the company's global public relations and corporate communications activities.

 

De Maria joins NASDAQ OMX from Newsweek, where he was vice president of corporate communications. His responsibilities included promoting Newsweek's editorial talent and content internationally as well as leading all communications around the re-launch of Newsweek magazine and its global web presence in 2009.

 

Prior to joining Newsweek in 2008, De Maria was head of global media relations at Thomson Reuters and at Reuters prior to the acquisition by Thomson Corporation in 2008. Before that, he was a director for Brunswick Group, based in London, where he provided strategic council for a variety of companies in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.
