LONDON—Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has acquired UK-based crisis, issues and reputation management consultancy Regester Larkin.

Regester Larkin will be merged with Deloitte’s existing crisis and resilience business to form a new practice that will be 70-strong, with six partners, operating under the Regester Larkin by Deloitte brand.

According to Rick Cudworth (pictured), Deloitte crisis and resilience partner, “By combining with Regester Larkin’s unrivalled experience and skills in crisis, issues and reputation management we will deepen our ability to support the growing demand of our clients in dealing with strategic risks through a fully integrated crisis management solution.”

Regester Larkin was founded in 1994 by Mike Regester and Judy Larkin, and is currently led by chief executive Andrew Griffin. In addition to its London headquarters it has offices in the Middle East and the US.

The deal comes just two weeks after consulting giant Accenture acquired UK independent agency Karmarama, including its PR unit Kaper, and is the latest in a series of deals in which consulting firms have acquired PR operations.
