Deutsch Named to New Communications Role at Coke

Ben Deutsch, a 13-year veteran of The Coca-Cola Company’s corporate communications and media relations team, has been named director of corporate communications in the worldwide public affairs and communications for the company.

ATLANTA—Ben Deutsch, a 13-year veteran of The Coca-Cola Company’s corporate communications and media relations team, has been named director of corporate communications in the worldwide public affairs and communications for the company, responsible for positioning the company, its senior management and brands with the media. He will report to Tom Mattia, senior vice president of worldwide public affairs and communications.

Deutsch will be directly responsible for all corporate communications in support of the finance, legal, human resources and marketing, strategy and innovation functions.

He most recently served for three years as director of financial communications, working closely with investor relations. Prior to joining the company in 1993, he worked at public relations firms such as Shandwick in Bloomington, Minn., and Wells & Miller in Minneapolis. He also was a reporter for the Wisconsin State Journal for two years.
