NEW YORK—Corporate communications veteran Valerie Di Maria, most recently director of client strategy at Peppercom, and technology industry leader Clare DeNicola, former chief executive of Ivans, have launched the 10 company, a new consultancy that will help C-level executives transform their businesses through marketing and communications.
The two principals bring to the firm significant C-Suite experience. Di Maria has held the top communications or marketing role at GE Capital, Motorola, and Willis, the global insurance broker, while her role at Peppercom focused on leading the firm’s outreach to C-Suite executives. At Ivans, DeNicola provided technology solutions for the insurance and healthcare industries. The two worked together previously at GCI Group.
The new firm launches with clients including Alcoa and Raytheon, and a team of four professionals. It will provide a range of marketing and communications services, as well as “leadership products” such as collaboration toolkits to help foster alignment and teamwork across the entire C-Suite and new business development services.
The firm’s name refers to several underlying principles, including a commitment to “10 Tenets of Client Relationships” in its dealings with clients; a pledge to reinvest 10 percent of fees into each client account through complimentary services such as training, brainstorming and industry reports; 10 percent performance pricing; and the goal of rating a 10 on performance reviews by clients.
