GENEVA—Jürg Dinner, head of corporate communications for international airline Swiss, will assume new duties as head of public and environmental affairs in May.
According to the company, Swiss plans to “further intensify its activities on the environmental and political fronts,” with all political and ecological issues and concerns to be handled by the newly-created public & environmental affairs unit. “The new arrangement is intended to give greater strategic importance to Swiss’s activities in both fields.”
Dinner joined Swiss as head of corporate communications six years ago under then-CEO Christoph Franz; and has been responsible for internal and external communications throughout its corporate turnaround and its integration into the Lufthansa Group.
In his new role, he will report directly to Antonio Schulthess, head of external relations & IT. His successor as head of corporate communications will be announced in the next few weeks.
