CHICAGO—Dome Communications Group has named award-winning Hispanic marketing expert Etienne Hernández-Medina senior consultant and managing director of Concepto Public Relations, the agency’s national Hispanic marketing practice.

Prior to joining Dome, Hernández-Medina was senior vice president of publicity and corporate communications at Arenas Entertainment, the Latin division of Universal Pictures in Los Angeles. In addition to launching the entertainment industry’s first Latino film label, Hernández-Medina spearheaded publicity efforts on behalf of the company’s artist management division and developed marketing campaigns for movies including E.T., The Extra-Terrestrial, The Scorpion King, The Bourne Identity, and Blue Crush.

“As one of the largest Hispanic markets in the U.S. and home to many of the world’s leading brands, Chicago is proving to be an excellent launching pad for an entrepreneurial, strategic Hispanic marketing consultancy,” said Doug Dome, president and CEO of Dome. “Etienne’s extensive Hispanic marketing expertise and proven track record developing and servicing big brands positions Concepto PR to capitalize on corporate America’s renewed focus on the fast-growing Hispanic population.”

Prior to Universal, Hernández-Medina was executive vice president at Weber Shandwick Worldwide and president/founder of GrupoLink PR, the agency’s global Hispanic and Latin American practice.
