Dowling to Lead North American Tech at Weber Shandwick

Weber Shandwick has named Robert Dowling general manager of the North American region of the firm’s global technology practice. Dowling has served as executive vice president and director of the New York technology practice for nearly three years.

NEW YORK—Weber Shandwick has named Robert Dowling general manager of the North American region of the firm’s global technology practice. Dowling has served as executive vice president and director of the New York technology practice for nearly three years. 

Dowling joins regional leaders Michelle McGlocklin of Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Mabel Phoon and Scott Sykes of Asia Pacific. The global technology practice has won numerous high-profile accounts in 2007 including Capgemini, Nortel and Verisign, and grown existing business from clients such as Credit Suisse, Honeywell, Microsoft and Verizon.

Previously, Dowling was executive vice president and managing director of the corporate and technology
practice at Cohn & Wolfe, and executive vice president and director of Ruder Finn’s technology practice.
