NEW YORK—Dow Jones & Company has named Linda Dunbar vice president for corporate communications. Reporting to Dow Jones chief executive Rich Zannino, Dunbar will be the company’s chief adviser on corporate strategic communications. She will oversee all communications strategy, public relations, media relations and internal communications for Dow Jones at the corporate level.

Dunbar most recently was executive director for communications strategy at Ford Motor Co. where she was charged with developing the global communications vision for the public affairs operations of this automaker.
