East Joins Time Warner Cable to Lead Communications

Ellen East, a 14-year veteran of communications at Cox Communications, is joining Time Warner Cable as executive vice president of corporate communications. She replaces Lynn Yaeger, who is retiring at year end.

NEW YORK—Ellen East, a 14-year veteran of communications at Cox Communications, is joining Time Warner Cable as executive vice president of corporate communications. She replaces Lynn Yaeger, who is retiring at year end.

East will be based in New York and will oversee the company’s corporate communications and public affairs teams, as well as guiding the cable TV operator’s regional and divisional public affairs issues. She will report to Time Warner Cable chief executive Glenn Britt.

East joined Cox Communications in 1993 as manager of public affairs. She was promoted to director of public affairs in 1995. In 1998, she assumed management of the function corporate-wide, and was promoted to vice president in 1999. East joined the Cox organization in 1987 as an assistant city editor with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
