NEW YORK—Ogilvy Public Realtions Worldwide has hired Therese Caruso as executive vice president, strategy and planning. Prior to joining Ogilvy, Caruso was executive vice president of consumer brands of Edelman public relations.
“Therese brings terrific credentials to Ogilvy’s clients,” said Kym White, managing director of the firm’s New York office. “Her creative know-how and deep understanding of consumer branding makes her a real asset to an agency like Ogilvy—one that sees brand building as central to every campaign we design for clients regardless of industry or audience.”
Caruso has extensive experience in consumer and brand marketing, including re-branding campaigns, new product introductions, image enhancement programs, nutrition/health education, consumer health campaign, advocacy relations, crisis communications and cause-related marketing. Over the past five years, she developed a specialty in marketing campaigns directed at women.
In her new role at Ogilvy, Caruso will focus on client and new business development across all of the agency’s practice areas, with a particular focus on consumer marketing, healthcare and corporate communications. She will be based in New York but have other assignments and responsibilities across the United States. She reports jointly to White and Steve Dahllof, managing director and head of the agency’s strategy and planning group.
