HONG KONG—Edelman has signed an affiliate agreement with the largest corporate communication consultancy in Queensland, Rowland Communication Group.

A player in the communications market in Australia since 1987, Edelman now has offices in Sydney and Melbourne, where clients are offered service across five core practices – corporate stakeholder communications; public affairs; healthcare; marketing and employee engagement.

Rowland Communication Group was founded in 1992 by its chairman, Geoff Rodgers. Currently locally owned and operated by its principals—Rodgers and managing director Helen Besly, formerly of Burson-Marsteller—the firm was originally part of the Rowland Worldwide network. It currently employs around 50 people, in corporate, financial, marketing, public affairs, issues management and communication training practices.

“We firmly believe that the link with Rowland in Brisbane strengthens our Australian network and sets us well on the course to becoming the pre-eminent strategic communications practice in Australia,” says the Hong Kong-based President of Edelman Asia-Pacific, Alan VanderMolen. “We also believe it adds to the strength of our global network.”
