SEATTLE—Edelman has hired Dennis Bracy as executive vice president in its public affairs practice, responsible for leading the firm’s U.S.-Asia public affairs group, which will provide senior communications counsel to businesses expanding into or operating in China and other Asian markets.

Prior to joining Edelman, Bracy served as president of Hill & Knowlton’s technology practice in Seattle, counseling clients such as Microsoft, Motorola, Armature, Itron, Network Commerce and Vigilos. Earlier, he was a partner at The Rockey Company.

“China is an important market for many U.S.-based businesses, and with Dennis’ 30-years experience, in concert with our Edelman colleagues in Asia-Pacific, we’ve significantly strengthened our ability to provide clients with counsel and strategy appropriate for the Asian market,” says Melanie Wilhoite, executive vice president and general manager of the firm’s Seattle office. “Dennis is an exceptional addition to our management team and an asset to Edelman’s global corporate reputation and public affairs practice.”
