HAMBURG—German blogger Wolfgang Lünenbürger-Reidenbach has been named director of online conversations and chief blogging officer for Edelman Germany. Lünenbürger-Reidenbach, who began blogging in 2003, was among the first German bloggers and has been writing and lecturing about emerging trends in communications and public relations.

Lünenbürger-Reidenbach will expand Edelman’s online conversations group in Germany, which helps clients develop programs focused on new media. He will work with Edelman’s Me2Revolution practice, which is lead by executive vice president Rick Murray and oversees the development of best practices in emerging media at Edelman.

“More German companies are realizing that they will need to change many aspects of their communications and marketing because of the dramatic changes occurring in media,” says Cornelia Kunze, general manager of Edelman Germany. “Wolfgang’s expert counsel on emerging communications trends and practices will become a critical component of our offering to clients.”

Lünenbürger-Reidenbach previously worked as business development manager at news aktuell, an information service for journalists.
