CHICAGO—Edelman has named Rick Murray president of Edelman Chicago, the firm’s co-headquarters office and home to more than 500 employees. Murray is a nine-year Edelman veteran who has held a variety of leadership positions, most recently as president of Edelman Digital, the firm’s global digital practice.

Murray will succeed co-presidents Janet Cabot and Mark Shadle, who led the office since 2008 and are taking on new roles within Edelman and the firm’s sister agency, Zeno Group, respectively. Cabot will lead Edelman’s U.S. food and nutrition practice, further developing and integrating the firm’s food marketing, nutrition communications and food policy offerings. Shadle will lead the corporate affairs practice at Zeno Group.

Edelman will name a new global digital practice leader in the very near future.  In the interim, Nancy Ruscheinski will provide executive leadership for the practice.
