NEW YORK—DJE subsidiary and Edelman sister company United Entertainment Group has promoted Mary Scott to president, sports and brand experiences, and Robby Wells to chief strategy officer. Scott oversees the firm’s global sports and sponsorship practice while Wells is responsible for strategy, research and creative development for the agency and its clients. 

UEG has also announced four new hires: creative producer and promotions expert Gabe Banner as senior VP, brand experiences; sports, consumer products and entertainment marketer Nicole Bradley as VP communications; music industry veteran Dave Santaniello as SVP, rights and partnerships; and brand marketing specialist Melanie Washington as VP, brand experiences.

Scott was previously managing director, joining UEG from Edelman’s Matter agency upon creation of the new joint venture. She has worked with clients across seven Olympic Games, leading brand strategy, reputation management, issues counsel and activation for sponsors including Citi, Dow, Johnson & Johnson, Hilton, GE, Samsung and IBM as well as organizations in the Olympic movement.

Wells was EVP, strategy and creative development for UEG, helping to develop new marketing platforms for Frito-Lay, AT&T, General Mills, Starbucks, JCPenney, Cricket Wireless and P&G. He joined the agency after being VP, digital strategy at Carat.
