LONDON—Björn Edlund, former vice president of communications for Royal Dutch Shell, has joined Echo Research as senior advisor. In addition, the firm has added Kelly Sirimoglu as senior manager in its New York office.
A former foreign correspondent with UPI and Reuters, who led communications at Sandoz, ABB and Shell, he is also senior visiting fellow at Henley Business School and a board member of the Institute for Human Rights & Business.
According to Edlund: "It's good to see that more and more practitioners use research to provide contextual, targeted stakeholder and issues insights, and now look for the kind of reputation dashboards that allow discussions in the C-suite to focus on real communication challenges and opportunities. These often look different when analysed from an objective, external perspective."
Sirimoglu was formerly vice president and account director at TNS, managing director at online researchers Mark Clements, and VP brand strategy center of excellence for NOP World, formerly Roper Starch Worldwide.
