OLATHE, KS—PlattForm, a leader in direct response marketing and advertising for the postsecondary education industry, has created a public relations department.
Working with colleges, universities and the military, the department will assist schools in improving communication, developing media strategies and promoting student-, faculty- and alumni-relations.
“This new opportunity is exciting to us and our clients,” said Brad Gibbs, chief growth officer for the agency. “Today colleges and universities face an increasingly competitive environment and are routinely faced with public relations challenges. The public relations department will be a valuable resource for PlattForm as an organization and an important asset to the colleges and universities we represent.”
PlattForm will provide press releases for local and national media, and “the Hometowner project,” a program that issues press releases announcing the enrollment and graduation of students to the corresponding media market. It also plans to introduce services, including crisis management, consulting, alumni relations and event planning and support.
Kevin Kuzma will manage the public relations department.
