Ellender Gets Senior Communications Role at Georgia-Pacific

Georgia-Pacific Corporation has announced new senior leadership team, drawing on senior executives from both Georgia-Pacific and Koch Industries, which completed its acquisition of GP in December.

ATLANTA—Georgia-Pacific Corporation has announced new senior leadership team, drawing on senior executives from both Georgia-Pacific and Koch Industries, which completed its acquisition of GP in December. Philip Ellender, formerly of Koch Industries, was named senior vice president for government and public affairs.

Ellender has been with Koch companies for nine years and has served as the vice president of government affairs, communications and public affairs for Invista and directed government and public affairs in the southern U.S. for Koch. He will be responsible for corporate communications and marketing, customer entertainment and event management, government affairs and regulatory policy, the Georgia-Pacific Foundation and community programs.

The announcement was made by Joe Moeller, Georgia-Pacific’s president and chief executive officer.
