CASCAIS—PR World Alliance has announced the addition of three new members, including Publico Kommunikation of Denmark and PR Africa International with offices in Lagos, Abuja and Nairobi. Led by Uffe Lyngaae, Director, Publico specializes in strategic and analytical public relations projects for clients such as Novo Nordisk, TDC mobile telecommunications, and ISS Denmark. Founded in 2000, pr Africa provides brand and media communications services, trade and investment promotions as well as public policy advocacy and lobbying to private and public sector entities in sub-Saharan Africa.

MILAN—Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has appointed Marco Dell’Era as general manager in Italy. Dell’Era will assume responsibility for the firm’s business in Milan and join Fleishman-Hillard’s EMEA management team. before joining Fleishman-Hillard from his position as marketing and PR director at Art Living World, he was head of corporate communications at Nike Italy, marketing director at Dsquared2 and marketing and PR director of Lycos Italy, and worked at communications firms Barabino & Partners and Edelman.

LONDON—Fleishman-Hillard has been selected to provide UK public relations, analyst relations and content services to email management company Mimecast. Fleishman-Hillard will support Mimecast with an integrated communications program to support new launches and further innovation in email archiving, security, continuity and collaboration.

LONDON—Broadgate Mainland, a PR agency specialising in financial and professional services, has won a competitive pitch process to provide a corporate communications strategy for City Financial, the London-based investment management firm. Broadgate Mainland will work with City Financial to promote its range of retail and institutional funds, as well as building the profile of the company and management team.

LONDON—Zeno has been appointed to handle the UK launch and ongoing communications for new headphone brand Sol Republic. The firm will publicize the sound quality of the company’s products compared to rivals, and connect the brand with musicians and DJs via social media and events. Zeno will also handle the launch in other European markets, with the Netherlands being handled by its Amsterdam office, and France and Germany via affiliate partners.

LONDON—Bray Leino has formally created a health and wellbeing practice to promote Rx, OTC and wellbeing brands, as well as health awareness charities and campaigns. The agency has also appointed Hayley Knight to lead its prescription and licenced business arm, reporting to Sally Bradford, head of health and wellbeing. Knight previously worked with Just Health PR, where she led work for Pfizer's Champix, and prior to that at Red Door Communications, Cohn & Wolfe and Munro & Forster.

LONDON—W Communications has been appointed as retained social media agency for Soho House's portfolio of brands. The agency was initially taken on by Soho House to launch Nick Jones' Dirty Burger concept in August. The NEW brief incorporates all major launches over the coming year including the “re-opening” of Portobello Road's Electric Diner, and public facing brands including Chicken Shop and Pizza East.

MUNICH—Technology specialist Schwartz PR has been selected to manage public relations activities for TechSmith, the international specialist for screenshots and video screen recordings. Schwartz PR manages the company's product-related and corporate public relations activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

LONDON—Former Citizen Relations digital creative director Uemit Oezcan has launched a new agency to produce low cost digital and social media applications. Meeja House will operate as a collective of designers, developers and content specialists with a central account handling function and will be targeting agencies who want to find a cost-effective outsourcing solution for their digital build.

SHEFFIELD—Roaring Mouse, the Sheffield-based technology PR agency, has been appointed by technology entrepreneur Martin Port to provide corporate and digital PR support for his new venture BigChange. The agency will seek to introduce Port and his new company to a wide range of influential business journalists and create thought leadership content for use across traditional, digital and social media.

LONDON—Liberty Comms, the specialist technology communications consultancy, has been appointed by Procera Networks for the third consecutive year to raise visibility of its products, services and partner initiatives in the run-up to, and during next year’s Mobile World Congress.
