LONDON--Harvard Public Relations has expanded its client portfolio with Sling Media, a company of EchoStar Corporation specializing in digital lifestyle solutions. The Sling Media team at Harvard will support the company’s market entry in Germany. The mission is to establish Sling Media as a well-known player in the digital lifestyle market. PR activities will focus on media relations with the goal of raising awareness for Sling Media’s products among its target group. Harvard will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of all current PR activities for Sling Media in Germany.

FRANKFURT—Vacando holiday portal, a subsidiary of Hotelplan Group, appointed Trimedia to develop and implement its online PR communication strategy in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and other European markets. Trimedia will focus on developing a PR communication strategy for the launch of the website and the new online portal targeting private holiday home owners. “Trimedia’s experience in the tourism sector as well as in the online-sector convinced us,” says Alexander Esslinger, head of marketing and sales at Vacando, who also cited the firm’s international network and its strength in the company’s four target countries.

LONDON—Getronics U.K. and Ireland, a leading provider of IT workspace management services, has appointed Lewis PR as its retained agency. Lewis will be charged with increasing market awareness for Getronics and its services following its acquisition by Dutch telecom giant KPN in October last year. One immediate priority will be to communicate the new plans and positioning and to introduce managing director Dave Baldwin, who joins Getronics this year, to the key media.

LONDON—Good Relations has been appointed by Greencore Grocery, part of Greencore Group, a leading manufacturer of convenience foods and ingredients. The agency will be handling the launch of a new cook-in-sauce product range to drive trade and consumer awareness.  The account was won following a pitch in October and initially runs as a six month project which will include media relations, sampling and promotions. The agency already handles consumer and trade PR for Greencore’s Aunt Bessie’s brand, an account it won in May.
