LONDON—Ogilvy Public Relations has hired Mat Rawlins and Alex Wood (pictured) as creative directors. The creative duo will report to Michael Darragh, head of digital. Formerly a creative team at Freud Communications, Rawlins and Wood led campaigns for Nike, HP and BMW, among others. At Ogilvy PR/London, they will lead a drive to focus on creativity across the agency’s corporate, consumer, technology and digital practices.

LONDON—Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has appointed Paul Haugen as director of planning for its Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Haugen will be based in London and will report to Richard Kanareck, managing director of the London office, and John Saunders, president of EMEA. Haugen joins Fleishman-Hillard from MHP Communications, where he established the agency’s client service framework and led MHP’s recent branding. Haugen also has held roles at Edelman, Burson-Marsteller and Hill & Knowlton.

SCHAFFHAUSEN—Swiss piping systems company Georg Fischer has named Beat Römer head of corporate communications. Römer became head of external communications at Georg Fischer in September of 2011 and a year later became interim head of the service center. Earlier, he worked as a journalist for over 15 years and held corporate communications positions at the electricity company Axpo Holding.

LONDON—Cohn & Wolfe has appointed Christine Chapman as senior director in the agency’s London healthcare practice. Chapman joins Cohn & Wolfe from Weber Shandwick in London and will have responsibility for practice operations in addition to a number of key international accounts in the areas of oncology, cardiology and infectious diseases. Cohn & Wolfe London has also appointed Ben Seal as account director in the practice, joining from Ogilvy PR Health in Sydney.

DOHA—Memac Ogilvy, one of the top marketing communication agencies in the Middle East, has opened Memac Ogilvy Qatar. The Qatar office is the 15th Memac Ogilvy office and is headed by Samer Abboud. It will provide a full suite of marketing communications services, through a team of 15 advertising, public relations and social media specialists.

OXFORDSHIRE—Strativity, a leading customer strategy firm, has selected Bottle to manage its brand launch and PR programme in the UK. Bottle won the retainer assignment following a competitive pitch and is reporting to Chris Mills, UK managing director of Strativity. The brief is to launch the Strativity brand into the UK, creating awareness among CEOs, MDs and strategy directors. The program will focus on national and trade media relations.
