AMSTERDAM—Alexander Reinhardt has been appointed as head of corporate media relations at EADS, succeeding Pierre Bayle, who was recently named head of corporate communications. Reinhardt will be responsible for EADS' worldwide media activities and will act as the company spokesman, reporting to Bayle. He previously held the positions as head of EADS’ corporate internal and online communications in 2008 and head of communications for the EADS Defence & Security Division from 2003 to 2007.
LONDON—Public affairs firm hanover has been appointed to support the U.K. National Screening Committee, the advisory committee responsible for advising ministers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on when to adopt population-wide health screening programmes. Current national screening programmes include diabetes, antenatal screening, sexually transmitted infections and childhood conditions. The one-year contract will focus on establishing best-practice processes for communicating the advisory committee’s advice clearly, and enhancing public understanding of screening, and the firm will report to NSC’s new head of communications, Nick Waddell.

Mmd will provide MOL with a wide spectrum of PR services incuding strategic consultancy on corporate reputation management, media relations and event management, CSR, as well as crisis and issues management.
LONDON—Citigate Dewe Rogerson has strengthened its consumer public reations team with the appointment of Brandon Stockwell as a director. Previously, Stockwell was head of consumer at U.K. technology PR firm Firefly, and prior to that was consumer director at Cohn & Wolfe. His experience ranges from FMCG to leisure, and from retail to technology, having led teams on clients including Virgin, Diageo, London 2012, Coca-Cola, LG and Freesat. At Citigate, he will work alongside Steve Marinker, consumer practice director, in building the agency’s portfolio in the consumer sector.
LONDON—Chime Communications, parent company of the Bell Pottinger, Good Relations and Harvard pubic reLations firms, has appointed Paul Tredwell as chief executive of its research and engagement division. Tredwell has been working as a communications consultant for the past four years following a career in the advertising industry that included spells with AMV, Euro RSCG, Leagas Delaney and Saatchi & Saatchi.
