Penrose Financial has appointed Jessica Halls as account manager within its retail financial services team, plus new people in new roles at Bell Pottinger Public Affairs; new business successes for Boom! and The Scott Partnership.

LONDON—Penrose Financial, a financial services and capital markets public relations consultancy and part of the Engine Group, has appointed Jessica Halls as account manager within its retail financial services team. Halls has experience working as a journalist for News Ltd and APN Newspapers in Australia and also worked for several Australian PR agencies. For the past two years she was part of the in-house PR department at PRUPIM, the real estate investment arm of Prudential. 

 

LONDON—Bell Pottinger Public Affairs has hired Stephen Lotinga as an account director. Lotinga previously served as the senior adviser on public services and health in the policy and research unit of the Liberal Democrat Party since May 2009.  Prior to that he was the culture, media and sport adviser for two years, and had responsibility for constitutional affairs and youth and equalities issues.  He has also worked for Don Foster MP, the Youth Justice Board, Better Regulation Executive, and Tom Brake MP.

LONDON—Leading independent brewing company Wells & Young’s has appointed Boom! to lead a PR and social media campaign in support of the brewery’s iconic Courage beer brand. The agency has been briefed to support the brand’s new advertising campaign from Kindred, which aims to build awareness for its iconic ‘Take Courage’ slogan. Boom! will provide social media strategic consultancy and traditional media outreach to build awareness for the campaign which aims to celebrate Courage’s rich heritage and role at the heart of pub conversations.

 

CHESHIRE, UK—Business-to-business PR agency The Scott Partnership has been appointed by Quotient Bioresearch, a provider of early stage and specialist drug development services, to lead the company’s global PR campaign.
