NEW YORK—Jacqueline Adams, an Emmy Award winning former CBS News Correspondent, has joined Burson-Marsteller as a senior counselor. She will provide strategic counsel to Burson clients while also focusing on business development and will report to Patrick Ford, Burson’s U.S. chief executive officer.

Before joining BM, Adams established her own consultancy firm, J Adams: Strategic Communications, which provided counsel on strategic planning, event planning, media relations and corporate communications to clients such as SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company and the Manhattan Institute.

During her 21-year career as a news correspondent with CBS, Adams covered social issues, crime, medical and economic stories for The CBS Evening News, including the Jeffrey Dahmer and Colin Ferguson trials.  She served as a White House correspondent during the Ronald Reagan and George H.W.
