NEW ORLEANS—Energy company Entergy Corporation has named Toni Beck group vice president, corporate communications. In her new role, Beck will provide executive leadership for the company's internal and external communications organization.
 
Beck was formerly group vice president, external affairs for Spectra Energy Corp., where she led internal and external communications, including media relations, crisis communications, employee communications, stakeholder outreach, sustainability, and brand and executive communications. She played a key role in the successful launch of Spectra Energy when it was spun off from Duke Energy in 2007.
 
Prior to her role at Spectra Energy, Beck held positions in external affairs, public affairs and community investment at Duke Energy Gas Transmission and Westcoast Energy.
 
Beck replaces Arthur Wiese, Jr., who retired Nov. 30. Beck will report directly to Rod West, executive vice president, chief administrative officer.
