SYRACUSE, NY—Upstate New York advertising and public relations agency Eric Mower & Associates has merged with PriceMcNabb, an integrated marketing communications firm based in Charlotte.

Eric Mower & Associates Public Relations and Public Affairs, with offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany, N.Y. and Atlanta, Ga., has more than 25 professionals and billings of $3.5 million.  PriceMcNabb, based in Charlotte, N.C., has a 15-person public relations practice and billings of $1.8 million. The merger creates a $5 million public relations agency that will rank in the top 50 PR firms in the U.S.

Tom Eppes, president and chief executive officer of PriceMcNabb, will join EMA as a senior partner and member of the board of directors. Laura Mercer, senior vice president of PriceMcNabb, will join EMA as a partner.

Says Eppes, “Joining forces with EMA puts us in a very strong position to compete directly with the top agencies in the country.”

Greg Loh, APR, senior partner, public relations and public affairs at Eric Mower & Associates, says, “PriceMcNabb is well known as a leading public relations agency, and our practices are very complementary. Its talent and skills combined with our agency’s existing strengths in business-to-business, brand public relations, reputation management and public affairs creates a powerful new resource for clients.”

The merger of the two integrated firms creates a $155 million full-service East Coast agency, with over 200 full-time employees and six offices.
