Citigate selected for Danish IPO, plus new accounts at Trimedia, Bell Pottinger Corporate & Financial, and new people at Siemens, Llorente & Cuenca, Wolters Kluwer U.K., M-Real, and Manning Selvage & Lee.

LONDON—Citigate Dewe Rogerson has been appointed as international financial communications adviser for the IPO of Danish energy company DONG. CDR will advise on international communications strategy, investor relations and media relations. The Danish State will be selling around 28 percent of the company in what is being hailed as the first major European IPO to be announced for 2008 and is expected to launch in the next few weeks. The CDR team will be lead by directors Andrew Hey and Toby Moore.


MUNICHConstantin Birnstiel has taken over as head of the corporate press office of Siemens. Birnstiel has been working at Siemens since 1997 in various communications functions. Prior to his previous job as head of the business and financial press department, he served as an investor relations manager at corporate finance and was a speaker for the business press in the corporate press office beginning in 2000.


MADRID—José Antonio Zarzalejos, former general secretary of the Vocento Group and former editor of the ABC newspaper and of El Correo, has joined Llorente & Cuenca as executive vice-president to provide  strategic advice for the firm’s clients in the area of corporate affairs, which includes public affairs, corporate social responsibility, institutional relations, corporate image and other issues.
