BURLINGTON, MA—Davies Murphy Group, which provides integrated public relations, marketing, and business-strategy services to high-tech companies, has established a wholly owned subsidiary, DMG Europe. Based in London, the new operation will enable Davies Murphy Group to extend its service model from North America across Europe. “Most of our clients are international in scope, and our expansion into the U.K. enables us to support them with a single integrated global PR and marketing team,” says Davies Murphy Group principal Eric Davies. DMG Europe is led by Davies Murphy veterans Brian Alberti and Joanna Horn.
LONDON—Lewis PR has launched LEWIS Imagebank, a searchable online library of royalty-free photography. Visitors to www.lewisimagebank.com can search by category or keyword over 3,000 images, created by the firm’s in-house photographers, and download them for use in their own marketing or PR. The Imagebank is the first of many services planned to emerge from the newly-created Lewis client services team, according to Jon Silk, client services director.
HANOVER—Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has appointed Martin Zimmermann as its new head of communications. He will report directly to Stephan Schaller, CEO of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Zimmermann was most recently responsible for external and internal corporate communications at Renault Deutschland. He replaces Gunther Scherelis who had been head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles communications since February 2005 and who moved to be head of corporate communications at the seat brand in Martorell, Spain.
LONDON—Citigate Dewe Rogerson has recruited Heledd Edwards as associate director in its corporate division. Heledd joins from Kysen PR, A specialist legal and professional services PR agency, where she worked on clients including Employment Lawyers Association, LSLA (London Solicitors Litigation Association), law firm Fladgate Fielder, and several barrister chambers. Before joining Kysen in 2005, Heledd worked in-house at Howard Kennedy, the international law firm, for over three years.
LONDON—Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster has been appointed as the U.K. PR agency for Isklar, a glacial natural mineral water launching in the U.K. in Spring 2008. The PR strategy will promote the unique heritage of the Isklar brand as well as support its premium positioning in the market.
