New people at Chandler Chicco, BNP Paribas and Ahlstrom Corporation; a new client for Lewis; and a new U.K. member for IPREX.

LONDON—Healthcare communications specialist Chandler Chicco Agency has named EU policy expert Ludovic Lacaine to its policy and market access team, where he will play a key role in the development and delivery of European policy initiatives for CCA’s current and prospective clients. Ludovic joins CCA from Weber Shandwick’s Brussels office and has experience working on pan-European public affairs campaigns, stakeholder management, crisis management and business development issues.

PARIS—Marianne Huve-Allard has been appointed head of brand and communications at BNP Paribas’ corporate and investment banking division, reporting directly to Jacques d’Estais, head of corporate and investment banking, as well as to Antoine Sire, head of brand, communications and quality. Huve-Allard spent part of her career at the Paris Bourse, today known as Euronext, where she was in charge of communication, investor relations and operational marketing from 2000. More recently, she was based in London as global head of communications and brand for AXA Investment Managers.

LONDON—Avail Intelligence, a leader in optimising visitor traffic value to e-commerce web sites, has retained Lewis PR for its U.K. launch. The Swedish e-commerce expert awarded the six-figure campaign to Lewis after a three-way pitch. The launch campaign, will draw upon web 2.0 techniques including viral marketing and blogging.

HELSINKI—Life sciences company Ahlstrom Corporation has named Niina Suhonen vice president, corporate communications. She will join Ahlstrom from Perlos Corporation, where she has been working since 2002, most recently as director of corporate communications. In her new role, Suhonen will report to Laura Raitio, senior vice president, marketing, on internal and external communications activities, and to Jari Mäntylä, CFO, for the financial communications and investor relations.

LONDON—IPREX, the worldwide network of independent public relations firms, has further strengthened its presence in the U.K. by electing Abchurch Communications, a pure-play financial and investor relations company, as a partner, adding to the business-to-business, marketing communication, and integrated communication offering provided by existing IPREX partners in the U.K., Surrey House Corporate Communication and The Communications Business.
