Andreas Meurer will assume responsibility for coordinating group communications at German automaker Volkswagen, plus new people at Blueprint Partners and Fishburn Hedges.

WOLFSBADEN—Andreas Meurer will assume responsibility for coordinating group communications at German automaker Volkswagen. Meurer will report to Stephan Gruhsem, general representative of Volkswagen and head of group communications, external relations and investor relations. In addition, Peik Bestenbostel will take over from Meurer as head of the corporate and business section of the group communications function. He will also report to Gruhsem.

 

BRUSSELS—Blueprint Partners has expanded its public relations and communications team with the addition of Alexandra Reis to support the continuing growth of the corporate communications business. Portuguese native Reis has experience in strategic communications and pan-European media campaign management experience working with clients including the European Commission, the World Food Programme, and the European Chemical Industry Council.

 

LONDON—Fishburn Hedges has hired Lisa Story as its new planning director. Story has more than 14 years of consultancy experience, having started her career in planning at Porter Novelli. She then switched to Weber Shandwick to establish a planning function and as director of strategic planning U.K. and Europe and later head of strategy for Europe , she worked with major brands including Unilever, Microsoft, Braun, Coca-Cola, the European Parliament and Nestlé. Most recently she has freelanced for a range of PR and advertising agencies.
