WASHINGTON, D.C.— Z. Blake Marshall, a leading expert on the Russian economy and U.S.-Russian relations, is joining The PBN Company, a strategic communications, government relations and public affairs firm specializing in Russia and the former Soviet Union, which has offices in Washington, London and Moscow.
Marshall is currently executive vice president and COO of the U.S.-Russia Business Council. He will join PBN’s Washington office as senior vice president, international. PBN chairman and CEO Peter Necarsulmer hailed his “combined US-Russia business, political and academic credentials” and the fact that he has “the respect of both the policymaking and business communities.”
At USRBC, a Washington-based trade association that represents the interests of 300 companies operating in the Russian market, Marshall managed the group’s policy agenda and lobbying initiatives with both the U.S. and Russian governments, acted as principal spokesman, and directed the organization’s daily operations.
Prior to his position at USRBC, Marshall served as director of graduate admissions and assistant director of graduate studies at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
At PBN, he will be responsible for advising both Western companies on their investments in the region, as well as assisting Russian, Ukrainian and other CIS companies in raising their profiles and building relationships in the United States.
