LONDON—The Falkland Islands Government has moved its UK PR assignment to Pagefield, after previously working with Edelman.

Pagefield Diplomat, the UK firm's cross-border unit, secures the assignment following a competitive review. They are charged with providing strategic and tactical advice for public relations and media issues in the UK.

The PR mandate focuses on building support for the Falkland Islands in the UK. "Their experience and energy will help us to tell our story and provide the UK public with a better understanding of the Falkland Islands,” said Falkland Islands Government CEO Scott Padgett.

The three-year contract commenced last week, and is led by Pagefield Diplomat head Florence Quirici.

Pagefield senior partner and founder Mark Gallagher said that the firm will aim to tackle misperceptions regarding the islands, which remain the subject of a sovereignty dispute with Argentina.

Gallagher added that the brief will look to promote "a better understanding of and support for the Falkland Islands in the eyes of the Government, the media and the wider public in the UK.”
