SYDNEY—Financial Dynamics International has acquired Third Person Communications, one of Australia’s leading financial communications consultancies. Third Person was founded in 2002 by Ross Thornton, Jim Kelly and Mark Gold, and has employs 15 staff based in its Sydney offices. The deal continues the expansion of FD’s capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region, following the addition of a new team in Hong Kong earlier this month.

FD and Third Person have worked together over the past 18 months, with FD’s Hong Kong and London-based teams working closely with Third Person on a number of mutual clients and transactions. Third Person has advised on some of the nation’s largest corporate transactions while building a substantial base of both Australian and international clients.

According to Kelly: “As numerous businesses across corporate Australia progressively globalize, we believe that becoming part of a leading international consultancy will offer both our clients and our people compelling benefits. We have reached the point in this market where we believe the next step in Third Person’s evolution is to be able to offer our clients a top-class international network, and on any metric FD is the leading global player in our space.”
