LONDON—Financial Dynamics has acquired the Dubai office of Citigate, the corporate and financial communications consultancy that became part of the Huntsworth Group last year. The office serves clients including Mellon Global Investments, Invesco, Korn Ferry, Forsyth Partners, Lloyds TSB, and Dubai Sports City.
The business was founded in 2003 by John Hobday, who will become managing director of FD’s Gulf region. Manash Bhuyan and Liz Fox will become vice presidents of FD.
The Dubai office will work alongside FD’s existing operation in Bahrain, which was launched in 2003 and represents the Dubai Mercantile Exchange, Arcapita Bank and Kuwait Finance House.
According to FD chief executive Charles Watson, “The Gulf region is currently one of the most exciting communications markets in the world and FD has been committed to building its brand there since we opened for business in Bahrain in 2003. In John Hoboday and his colleagues we have secured a highly respected and talented team in one of the key economic and service hubs of the region.”
