LONDON—International financial and corporate communications consultancy Financial Dynamics has further expanded its presence in the public affairs arena, acquiring LLM, one of the U.K.’s leading public affairs consultancies. LLM employs 27 staff and services more than 30 clients in the private, public and voluntary sectors.

FD and LLM have enjoyed a close working relationship over the past five years, serving a large number of clients. The new partnership provides a U.K. counterpart to FD’s public affairs operations in Washington, D.C., led by Neal Dhillon.

“Public affairs consulting is a critical area of growth for FD, particularly as issues-related work is one of he fastest-growing practice areas for us on both sides of the Atlantic,” says FD chief executive Charles Watson. “Formalizing the relationship was an obvious step and it marks a key moment in achieving our ambition to build a global public affairs practice.”

LLM will retain its existing identity and management team, led by managing director Craig Leviton.
