FD Adds Senior Execs in London and Bahrain

Financial Dynamics has named Ed Firth as a managing director in its London office, where he will be responsible for building FD’s existing investor relations business in Europe as well as developing it into Central Europe and Asia.

LONDON—Financial Dynamics has named Ed Firth as a managing director in its London office, where he will be responsible for building FD’s existing investor relations business in Europe as well as developing it into Central Europe and Asia. Firth joins Financial Dynamics from Societe Generale in Paris, where he was an equity research analyst leading coverage on U.K. banks. Prior to that he was based in London, where he held a number of senior roles at NatWest Group, including head of investor relations and head of financial strategy.

In addition, Simon Elliott has been named managing director of the FD-LLM public affairs unit, focused on sectors including aerospace and defense, IT, fashion and retail, luxury goods, brewing and transport. He joins from Burson-Marsteller, where he was the chairman of the public affairs practice and had previously headed public affairs at Trimedia and before that Flagship Group.

Finally, FD has named Jon Earl as a senior vice president in its Bahrain office, where he will work with John Hobday, managing director of FD in the Middle Gulf region, to build the company’s presence in the Middle East. He joins from Vodafone, where he has worked on all aspects of corporate and financial communications including; M&A, financial calendar management, issues management, product launches and CSR. He was latterly responsible for the European region, with a focus on managing Vodafone’s media communications in Brussels.
