FD Merges Asian and Australian Operations Under Kelly

FD Third Person, the Australian operation of international corporate and financial communications consultancy FD, is to be merged with FD Asia, which has offices in Hong Kong, China and Singapore to create a single strategic consultancy with more than 70 staff.

SYDNEY—FD Third Person, the Australian operation of international corporate and financial communications consultancy FD, is to be merged with FD Asia, which has offices in Hong Kong, China and Singapore to create a single strategic consultancy with more than 70 staff.

 

FD Third Person founding partner Jim Kelly will become chief executive of the new entity and Ross Thornton, also a founding partner, will be president. FD Asia chief executive Diana Footitt, who had been leading the firm’s Asian capabilities from Hong Kong, resigned last week and will leaving FD later in the year.

 

Kelly told reporters in Australia that he planned to position the FD to service multinational companies looking to invest in China as well as Chinese companies looking to buy offshore.
