NEW YORK—Financial Dynamics has hired Ellen Barry as managing director and David Press as senior vice president. Barry and Press both join FD from Brunswick Group in New York and will be part of FD’s transactions and crisis communications team, joining a team of 12 specialists in the U.S. responsible for advising clients on a range of communications issues related to mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activist matters, financial and crisis situations, initial public offerings, restructurings and litigation.
Prior to joining FD, Barry was a partner at Brunswick Group, where she worked on cross-border transactions, crisis and financial communications. Previously, she was a managing director at Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher where she worked on mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, litigation support as well as ongoing investor relations. Earlier, she worked at Fleishman-Hillard and Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart and held in-house corporate communications positions at JP Morgan and Continental Bank.
Press was a director at Brunswick, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions with a specific emphasis on cross-border transactions. Previously, he worked in business development for America Online and began his career practicing corporate finance and securities law.
