SAN FRANCISCO—Edelman has appointed longtime Fleishman-Hillard veteran Curtis Kundred as president of its US Western region. Kundred succeeds Gail Becker, who led the region since 2003 and will dedicate more of her time to her role as chair of Edelman’s Latin America and Canada regions. In addition, she has been named chair, Western region.
Kundred most recently served as Fleishman Hillard’s regional president for its US Eastern and Western regions and Canada. He will be based in San Francisco and report to Matthew Harrington, president and CEO, Edelman U.S.
The Western region encompasses offices in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles, with more than 500 employees.
In addition, John Clinton has been appointed as chief executive officer of Edelman Canada, based in Toronto and reporting to Becker.
Most recently, he was senior vice president, digital solutions and new media for Transcontinental Media, one of Canada’s largest print and digital media companies. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of Grey Worldwide Canada from 1999-2008, where he managed more than 130 employees across Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, working with clients including RIM, P&G, Invesco, Starbucks and Dairy Queen.
Edelman has offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver with 160 professionals, representing leading Canadian and international brands such as RIM, Labatt, Starbucks, Kraft, Unilever and Pfizer.
