Finlayson Joins Ketchum is SVP in Consumer Tech

Ketchum has named Bob Finlayson as senior vice president of consumer technology for Ketchum West. Based in San Francisco, Finlayson brings more than 20 years of technology experience.

SAN FRANCISCO—Ketchum has named Bob Finlayson as senior vice president of consumer technology for Ketchum West. Based in San Francisco, Finlayson brings more than 20 years of technology experience in corporate reputation management, brand positioning and thought leadership; media and analyst relations, crisis communications and new product launches.

In his new role, he will have responsibility for overseeing the technology practice in Ketchum’s San Francisco and Los Angeles offices and building new consumer technology accounts for the agency’s global technology practice. The firm’s technology portfolio includes brands such as Kodak, Nokia, FedEx, and IBM.

Prior to joining Ketchum, Finlayson served as vice president of corporate communications for THQ, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s global communications activities. Earlier, he was president and CEO of northern California operations for Burson-Marsteller and an executive vice president in the technology practice at Edelman.
