BERLIN—FischerAppelt has expanded its content creation capabilities with the acquisition of Atkon, an expert in the moving image sector with clients such as Deutsche Bahn and Bayer.
Atkon staff—about 140 in total— will be added to fischerAppelt creative content group teams in Berlin and Frankfurt. Mirco Völker, CEO of fischerAppelt, play will be responsible for the content units, supported by managing director Melanie Rönnfeld, who was previously head of Atkon.
”From now on, we will offer customized video content and digital publishing solutions at all locations—for campaigns, websites, social networks or internal communications”, says Mirco Völker. There will be a particular increase of emphasis on YouTube and moving images formats for social media. “In addition to scouting and marketing of new YouTube stars, the development of new formats as well as the digital content distribution form part of the core business,” says Völker.
